LEAFS FOR LIFE
The Leafs had a pretty successful season this past year finishing with 45 wins, 24 losses, 10 ties and 3 overtime losses. They placed 4th in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 103 points.
In the 1st round of playoffs they played one of their greatest rivals the Ottawa Senators. They had an intense series taking it to 7 games before Toronto took the series by winning the 7th game 4-1.
The Leafs went on to play the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2nd round. The Leafs took the Flyers to 6 games but lost out of the playoffs to a 3-2 overtime loss.
Clearly Eddy Belfour was the Maple Leafs MVP of the playoffs with a 2.09 Goals Against Average and a .929 Save Percentage. He also posted 3 shutouts in the first round against Ottawa and saved an impressive 352 shots in only 13 games. That averages out to about 27 shots per game.
